Just As I Am, Without One Plea

Just As I Am is an old but beautiful hymn with biblical lyrics.

On this page is a lovely arrangement for piano which you may download for your church or other gatherings.  Come back in a few days, and I will have lead sheets (with chord symbols) in additional keys!

Hymn for voice and piano

The key of C is lovely to play in - no sharps or flats!

Though the left hand is full of ever-changing broken chords, the right hand is easy to play, being a single melody note.

Here is an iPhone video to allow you hear what this music sounds like:

In many hymnals, you will find this song in the key of Eb.  The melody climbs to high Eb, which is a bit of a stretch for some people on early Sunday mornings.

I think it is prettier in the key of Db, and really not much  harder to play, as it is almost all black notes - just F and C will be white!

Just As I Am Without One Plea for piano, in the key of Db.

Please scroll down the page for the sheet music PDF links.

And here is a guitar-friendly version; it uses the chords D, G, and A, which are favorite and easy guitar chords!

I don't have guitar arrangements on this page, but if you'd like to have a guitar tabs version with chord symbols, go to my other website to download it for free.

There is also and EASIER piano arrangement there, which includes fingering.

Here are the lyrics in a block of text, including permission from the creator of  SingTheBibleStory.com to copy, paste, and use in your church or meeting on an overhead projector, computer, bulletin, or the like:

Just as I am, without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me;
And that Thou bid'st me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt;
Fightings within, and fears without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; sight, riches, healing of the mind;
Yes, all I need, in Thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Just as I am, Thy love unknown has broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
