"Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee," said the psalmist. Perhaps this was the first Bible verse you ever learned as a child! Its truth and profundity never get old. Sing this important Bible verse with:

Psalm 119:10-11:
With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
That I might not sin against thee.
Who wrote this beautiful psalm?
There is no "consensus" on the author of Psalm 119. Traditionally, both Jewish and Christian sources believe that King David was the author.

The tablature for the melody is particularly easy to play in the key of C. Only fingers 2 and 3 are needed, and the occasional finger 1.

Perhaps these words from Psalm 119 best sum up the aim of my website - to enable children and adults, too, to easily memorize scripture passages.
Short verses like these ones may be easy to remember, but longer passages, such as The Beatitudes in Matthew 5, or Isaiah 53 with its Messianic prophecy, are quite a bit more difficult!
Singing them brings them into the heart much more easily.
