How to Have Eternal Life
"Truly, Truly, I Say Unto You"
How to have eternal life? If you read the words of Jesus in this song based on John 5:24, you will know! Then, you can pass from death to life.
Jesus spoke plainly
Jesus did not leave us guessing. There will be for us no condemnation... but passing from death to life.
Is this because of some good thing, some good deeds we have performed, that we become acceptable to God? No, it is because we hear the words Jesus has spoken and believe on what God has done - God the Father who sent Jesus.
In the book of Hebrews, this is stated like this:
”And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (New Living Translation, Hebrews 10:6)
From eternity past, God planned the time when God the Son would "take on flesh" and become a man - a human - like us, so that He would be able to stand in as a substitute for us, taking our sin upon Himself.
