The Christmas carol song "Wexford Carol" tells the Nativity story in elegant rhyme, accurately & with a beautiful melody.
This page includes a lead sheet in D, with guitar tabs, and standard music notation and chords.
Apparently from Ireland, this is not one of those famous Christmas carols that everyone knows, but it is one of the most beautiful Christian Christmas carols I know.
The singer above at FolksandHymns YouTube channel is singing and playing in the key of C, but I have set this lead sheet in D, as the melody goes rather low, and not very high - and I just prefer the key of D's guitar chords!
The tablature is very easy to play, and the melody sounds nice on the guitar.

My arrangement LOOKS very different than the version in the venerable Oxford Book of Carols. However, the timing ends up SOUNDING the same - with lots less confusion, and much easier music reading.
On my other site,
you can find a fancier version, in the keys of Eb, E, F, and G. It is a lovely arrangement, easier and more suitable for piano than for singing 4-part harmony (which is what the Oxford Book of Carols is all about).
Hopefully this YouTube video won't disappear - sometimes they do! This is Alison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma, recording this carol in studio:

Believe me, it's worth it!

The Adventures of Tonsta highlight the travels of a very young Christian lad with a good heart, who goes about helping folk in trouble.
With a red cap on his head and a sack of tools slung over his shoulder, Tonsta seems to meet people in distress wherever he goes.
Lots of trolls in this book.
Download this beautiful songbook telling the riveting story of the attempted genocide of the Jews in ancient Persia, and the brave young queen who risked her life to change the king's mind and save her people.

Hi, I'm Dana! (Say that like "Anna".) I'm the owner of Music-for-Music-Teachers.com, and this newer site, SingTheBibleStory.com.
Like some of you, I've been playing the piano since early childhood, and have added a few other instruments along the way, plus an interest in arranging and composing music.
I also happen to love the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Christian worldview that portrays The Great War in the heavens, in which we here on earth are destined to be a part.
